Missions Across Operations Areas

Can this be done? i.e. Can a mission begin in, say the Northern marianas Op Area, and fly into, say the Home Islands of Japan? I consistently get a "CFS2 has encountered a problem and needs to close" error. The mission is totally simple - Just the player aircraft, and it's route so far.

Any ideas? Thanks guys -

Ghostrider,

If you're thinking of the same error I am...when you select an airbase, you need to select an operations area first, THEN select the airbase. For some reason, you can't select an airbase directly, or else the Mission Builder will crash on you.

I don't have a reason why, but I think I know what you're describing.

Let me look at that, Rami - but I think I'm selecting the ops area first. I hand edit the coords for the IP, target, and egress waypoints in the mission file, back into MB, I can cycle through the waypoints, and it loads the correct ops area scenery as I do so, but then whether I try to fly from MB or the sim, I crash...

Yeah, Iwas definitely selecting the ops area first, then the airbase. Maybe I'l try an air start.

Hmmmm.....

I know for sure that you can cross op areas without any problem. Something else must be going on in the mission file or possible with a scenery file. It depends on what the error message is and when it occurs.

I knew I had done it before Cody, it's wierd - I get the error message I described when it tries to load the mission to fly it, whether from MB or the main sim. Building the mission, everything behaves normally. Theonly thing that's not the most basic thing imaginable is that the Japan scenery is an add-on, of course. Any idea what could be wrong with that?

Stumped...

OK, I figured it out - it's the darn plane! Switch to a different A/C, and no problem. That was the last thing I would have suspected.
