As Dimus noted, the camo paint looks like it has been applied with an actual air spray gun. I have not heard back yet from jim Pollak, so let's press ahead in the direction you are going. We'll fly these four paints of yours together in our SEA missions, and get video for you. One of us will act as FAC in T-28, OV-10 or A-1.

I'm glad you like it already, but it was (and is) still work in progress..
I had been wondering why 56-3163 was so often referred to as 'Day Tripper':


and I added a few more details, like the name of the pilot and crew chief:


and different rescue arrows:


and played with the alpha to get better engine textures:


still a few small details to sort, but nearly there, unless you spot any glaring errors? I'll finish this one tomorrow and start on the next three..
 
56-3163 looks awesome, outstanding job that burnt paint on the exhaust area. What is the story behind the light blue bottom? Usually the SEA aircraft bottoms were painted light grey (FS36622).

Category things to do and colourblind, thank you for pointing it out! It's the French underside colour. Never saw it was different...
 
JUST BLOODY GORGEOUS ! JK :encouragement: .. simply something about this era and they actually used them in every possible way :adoration:
 
JanKees, these paints are simply stunning, colors look right :applause: Are you considering a French camo paint as well ?
 
JanKees, I like your use of the big white tail numbers = will stand out in videos of this four-ship. They do look spectacular, will install and use with our multiplayer group as soon as you release them.

Jankees, those look absolutely marvelous!... as fresh out of the paintshop. I was around the F-4C/D & E a lot in that time period, and the paint used then faded/weathered very fast! In just a week of use, the fading was obvious. And this was in the high desert at Victorville, Calif. George AFB, just south of Edwards AFB.

I don't remember the actual repaint schedule, as I worked in the bomb dump, but was on the flightline a lot, doing flightline delivery of ordinance. I do remember that whenever a spot needed touching up after a repair, it was very obvious as the new paint really stood out from the weathered paint. It could be seen from many yards away.

I am sure many of the old guard here from that time period will agree, but without actual pictures of elapsed time, it would be hard to get right, or maybe I should say, wrong?!

Anyways, I really like those Huns. Very well done.
