MkAFD2

My computer must be hard wired to Esperanto or something. Whatever English I choose, and even in German, the commas appear. I tried the AFD Entry Generator v1.2 that comes with cfsTmap and the commas persistently turn up. There was one difference though. The bgl created displays the correct degree and whole minute, but drops the decimal component altogether.
The cat is purring softly in my lap and my daughter's computer isnt far away. I just have to put up with having a mutant computer.

MkAFD was written a long time ago and the support for non-english numbering systems is scanty.
Your problem is definitely the locale settings. If a comma is appearing when you type a period into the number boxes then the OS is converting your input into the format it thinks you require. MkAFD can`t recognize this and either takes the whole number while ignoring the comma or justtakes the numbers up to the comma
Check the "Regional and Language" settings in control panel and particularly the "Customize" options on the Regional Options tab. Period should be set for Decimal symbol and comma for digital grouping symbol.

All my programs are designed using English(United Kingdom) settings but should work correctly on most English variations (and many other languages) as long as the decimal seperator remains the same

Hats off to Martin!
The 'Customise' option was already set for decimal points and group commas, however under 'Advanced' in that section my non-Unicode was set in Russian (?). I reset it to English/Australian and MkAFD is churning out correct bgls and data once more.
Its comforting to have a normal, vanilla-flavoured computer again.
Thank you all.
