Modesto CA:deputy and civilian dead ,man barricaded

nasty mess..been on tv since 11am local....they say he may be ex military and they were serving an eviction notice.the man then shot and killed the deputy and a civilian who seems to have been the landlord..or possibly a relitive to the man...its still all very fluid.

the fourplex burned at 10:51pm last night..as of 8am this morning they still hadnt made entry...the sheriff was emphatic that his officers never fired at the suspect...but it was reported that all the windows were blown IN and the door was shot IN...no one saw or heard from the guys at all....and then it burnt...he was either not there,,,or dead the whole time.
