Monaco Traffic

Yes I enjoy the scenery, too.
Since there's no airport, I also got Aerosoft's France 2 which covers the French Riviera, and provides a nice bit of scenery at Nice which is just a helicopter ride away...

[Aside: Can't remember but I think the FSX version of Monaco came as a freebie. Just for interest I dropped it into a hot computer rig, and came away impressed - with how good FS9 is!]

Anyhow, what with the GP coming up at the weekend, it's a good time to get familiar with the area. eh?

Please stop suggesting new things for me to buy, you'll get me into grief with her indoors!! She's already got the feeling, :a1089:

But really, thanks for the HU,
J

Well, Nice has a substantial heliport strip and provides excellent helo traffic for Monaco...
I'm getting to grips with the AI helo package, have some strange artifacts appearing:

There is also an AN-12...I've edited their airfiles as unflyable, and unchecked the boxes in the AI package, but next time it starts, there they are...

"can you remember where we parked the -111 sport?"

that reminds me i have work to do on an F-111........... *dives back into the shadows*

a fair wage would explain it but i've never seen an F-111 do a Fiesler Storch Or Pioneer, or even harrier style take off before..... maybe the underside has a hovercraft skirt so it sits on gear deploys the skirt, dives off the dok, gets to take off speed on the water (which would lets face it have to be as smooth as glass) and takes off........ F-111CV-1 (CV for Cushioned vehicle) tell ya what'd be good if someone made a good ole fashioned russian Hydrofoil of the Comet class or even Olympia class, could cruise round the riviera then.... and then dash back off to Greece or Italy, or Spain or even Africa...
heres Olympia :

and heres Comet....

beautiful craft i think you'll agree and still working their A**es off in the mediterranean and aegean sea

Never seen one off Nice...
I had a memorable ride to Crete on a Greek one in a storm, though, and decided I wanted it.
I suppose they are gas guzzlers, otherwise they'd be more popular.

if they can't get on the skis due to sea conditions they are fuel hungry, but get onto the ski and they're more fuel efficient as the props are having to deal with a lot less drag, 36knots when not in displacement, in displacement they are limited to about 15... and boy do they throw up some spray :jump: and are Turbine powered :icon_lol:

travelling to Crete means you used Hellenic seaways' 'Flying Dolphin' service, great bit of fun but noisy as heck!
