Monitor Suggestion ?

I got this new gaming computer and I was wondering if you all could give me a few suggestions as to a good monitor and or gaming monitor. I am thinking of a 24" or 28"

I'd appreciate it much

That's a top of the range rig you have there,Jug. It'd be a shame to run it on anything under a native resolution of 1920x1200. Looking at the components used in your build, you are not short of a few $ .......so i'd recommend springing for a 30" monitor with 2560x1600 resolution. Maybe something like the Dell 3008WFP which has a plethora of input connections including the new Displayport technology which will be taking over from the current DVI port. :ernae:



PS. Have you overclocked that i965 chip yet?

Hey Jug How about a 28" monitor for $399.00? You won't believe how incredible this one is for the price. I saw it live and wow I couldn't believe how nice it was for the money

I use the Hanns G, 28" HG 281D mostly for Photo and Video Editing. It is also a good monitor for Flight Simulation, as it gives a great field of view. The best viewing distance for me is 36" from eyes to screen. That distance elimanates turning your head to read the screen. As others have mentioned, the Brightness should be turned down to 20%. I turned down the Red, Green and Blue Guns to 75% under Color Manual Setting. For best Photo and Video, I set the Color Temp to 9300K, Contrast 70%, Res. 1280 X 768. I might mention, the color rendering on this monitor is very good. I am pretty fussy working with photo and Video, I have to know that the final product will look great. I researched pretty well before I bought. Jug I just bought a ASUS 26 inch monitor and a Hanns G 28 inch monitor. I run native mode 1920x1200 on both and I could not be happier. The 28 inch is top quality for a modest price. It renders a life like picture. It is well worth the money. I think you would be really happy with seeing FSX on a large monitor. It is quite beautiful.
