Larson was running away with it until a payed back marker hits the wall and allows JJ to get another chance, knowing Larson isn't that good on restarts. Nascar rules are written in pencil with a big eraser and can change from race to race depending on who Nascar wants to win that week. The over time line and when they throw the caution determines the winner..
