Couple pics of "suburban" moose shot by my son. :d This was in military housing at Fort Richardson, AK. Around Halloween the moose roam the neighborhood and munch on folks' jack-o-lanterns.

When dry the calves look very fuzzy. I love seeing them every spring.

In addition to pumpkins, they like Mountain Ash. Moose lovers plant them, others avoid them to protect the lawn. Moose are not gentle eaters.

Those are really candid shots. Baby moose baths. LOL

Great pics, C9G! I love them.

Cool, but I wouldn't want an angry mom coming after me though!

No kidding....

I'd almost rather go up against a mother bear and her cubs, than a moose and her foals.
Bear you got a chance to scare off, moose is just flat going to charge you and drill you into the ground. :icon_lol:

That first pic, she is not happy.
Great pics though.... :applause:

Very true. Moose safety is part of new faculty orientation here due to a deadly incident some years ago. However, avoiding angering them is easy (usually).

If moose work like equines, from the way she's holding her ears, mama was more curious than anything else. I'd darn sure wouldn't be that close if her ears were laid back.

Those are some cute lil' buggers though.
