Have LM given an indication re when an update is going to be? I give up on their forums, sooooo slowwww.
The only thing I read (on the Prepar3D Forum) was that they expected it to be this month. Nothing more specific.

Without wanting to appear totally ignorant what is the slipstream method of updating?
Ian, "slipstreaming" is a method by which already installed files are "patched in place" with the revisions made, rather than being entirely replaced. This essentially is the method used by Microsoft to install their updates, and most recently by nVidia to update their drivers.

This technique allows the "patch's" file size to be relatively small and quick to download and install.

For a more technical explanation, see this Wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slipstream_(computing)

Many thanks for the explanation! I know LM provided all the updates for P3D 1.X as complete re installs, which obviously was a bit of a pain.

Regards,
Ian.
