Kathy Mattea, and "Where've You Been?" I am not a country or Kathy Mattea fan, for that matter. But this song's lyrics are beautiful. The song was actually written by Kathy Mattea's husband, Jon Vezner. I have seen him perform, and he is great.

Hubby and I went out to dinner with friends last night, and when we got done eating, we drove around a bit, discussing what we wanted to do next. So finally, we decided to stop at this local bar, just outside of downtown <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Pittsburgh</st1:place></st1:City>. Picture the typical, friendly-everybody-knows-your-name bar. So, we are sitting down, enjoying our beers, when I spot an old-fashioned jukebox in the corner. I asked our friend Harry, to go put some music on for us. He asked me what I felt like listening to, so I just told him to surprise me.....and surprised I was.....when this song first started playing, I thought to myself: What the heck is that? And all of a sudden, I noticed that a lot of the folks in the bar, started to clap their hands and sing . They actually knew this song! I must admit, it did not take me long to fall in love with the song myself...Until last night, this singer was totally unknown to me. Now, I'm a fan!<o:p></o:p>
