Three more variants of the S2F-1 using the S2F-3 model. The first in glossy sea blue, a Reserve aircraft assigned to NAS OAKLAND circa 1954. The second in the orange high vis assigned to NAS SOUTH WEYMOUTH in the mid 60's. And the third is a CS-2A that our Dutch friends flew in the late 1960's.

Thank you so much John. These are magnificent repaints. My personal favorite as a Dutchman: the CS-2A 184. Only a few years ago I had the great pleasure, after having corresponded with him, to meet Dutch veteran Navy pilot Sibout C. Gooszen (Jan Kees, Ferry v O and probably Huub Vink know who I mean), who flew Avengers, Stoofs and Atlantics a.o. Unfortunately he passed away in August 2010, but I'm sure he has met up with a lot of fellow Stoof pilots where he is now. I'm sure he would have loved the combination of the SOH Stoof with your Dutch repaint.

Cheers,
Maarten

I am sure he would have loved it, Maarten!
despite his age he visited the Fs Weekends, and he spent quite a bit on my computer trying to land the Maam-sim Avenger in his own colours on the Karel Doorman. The parts I didn't have installed for the carrier he brought himself on a USB drive. The next year (This must have been in 2009) he returned, adament to try again because he couldn't get it right the year before!
Remarkable man with a sharp mind despite his age! Sad to hear of his passing, I missed him the last two years in Lelystad for sure!

Anyway, great paint John (Though I still hope to see a radome model soon!). :applause:

And just in case anyone's interested, some photos of the Stoof in the EHSB museum:

Great work John as always from your stables. :applause:

Ferry and Maarten, Jan Visser should be working on the S2F-1 with the main prize being dressed out as you request and with the Dutch paints you desire. :)
