MOS & DDS Files?

I know it probably has been asked before but what programs are used to create / edit mos and dds files?
My main interest is for making facilities textures.

Thanks.

The .mos file editor is in the terrain sdk; dds files are made with your bitmap editor, whichever that might be. If your bitmap editor doesn't export to .dds, use Martin Wright's DXTBmp or ImageTool as supplied in the sdk. Or get a bitmap editor which will - Paint.NET is free... The nVidia .dds plugin for Photoshop also works in Paintshop Pro and lets you export .dds files directly.

Just do all your edits before exporting and keep the original files to work from: editing and re-editing .dds files gets ugly very quickly.
