Mosquito Fly By Fantastic

Not trying to put a bug in anyone ear or anything like that but wouldn't it be something if Manfred Jahn made one of these beauties. This is one of the best video of the Mosquito I have seen. Love the sound of the Merlins.

On takeoff I didn't see he was using any flaps. With the power of the twin engines he probably doesn't need them.

Enjoy HERE!!

IMO, there's only one thing that sounds better than a Merlin flyby, and that's a TWIN Merlin flyby. Or the Lanc of course;-))))

The collection at the Virginia-based museum that that Mossie belongs to is up for sale and is going to be broken up. It's my sincere hope that it somehow gets donated to or bought by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at Mount Hope as it is an original, Canadian-built FB.26 that was built at the De Havilland plant in Downsview in the north end of Toronto during the war. I was lucky enough to see Kermit Weeks' B/TT.35 at the Hamilton show a couple of times way back in the early 90's and it's something I'll never forget...

Excellent video, the moment the tails up she just wants to fly, looks like the flaps are just needed to force her to stop flying :)

I just downloaded the Dave Garwood model and I have a couple of questions.
I see the elevator trim gauge in the VC but cant find the knob.
Also no mixture controls, is she fuel injected ?

Jan , that would have to be the most exciting cockpit video of recent years .. just something that makes ya fall into it <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><input jscode="leoInternalChangeDone()" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

thanks

Hey thanks for the heads up.....The Mosquito and the Hawker Hunter Trainer off the same page were two great additions to my new FSX........still learning my way around but they were great fun learning.
Specially coupled with the Ipad Foreflight FSX flight and ADS- B traffic around the NYC area.....(my old stomping grounds)
I might have broken the Bravo speed limits...but what the Hey, and I think I knocked off a few runway lights though :isadizzy:

thanks...

The trim well in the VC is pretty much un-useable in the sim due to it's position. Best to map the evelator trim to some joysick buttons if you haven't done so already.
The engines had carbs, but also had an automatic mixture system.
