Flown many a challenging mission and plane in CFS 2 but man the B-29 is a challenge.Love it, but challenging.Landing and takeoff/initial climb is like a greyhound bus with wings. Not sure why love it, but I do.Anyone else a glutton for punishment as well?

Right. It's no P-51 for sure. On a mission from the Marianas to Japan in a fully/overloaded B-29, you're probably climbing at 300 ft./min. and dropping that bit by bit as you approach 30,000 ft. So after about 2 hrs, you're at 30,000 ft or higher and happily(?) winging your way to Japan in your Greyhound bus.

You want to have some fun. Take one of the Grand Slams as your payload. After you get it fully trimed and level, you then have to drop it. At which point all of your trimming has to be reversed. This has to be done quick.

When I was testing it I nearly didn't recover in time on the first drop. Maybe its because I was only at 5,000' when I let it go. Funny how your heart can skip a beat even for a game.

Thing to remember about the B-29 is that it is a huge plane, and actually is a little under powered for its size. You have to remember to climb the ladder in the climb. You have to climb her in stages. Climb 1,500 feet at a time. then level off and speed up again and then climb another 1,500 to 2,000 feet.

Take-off, when loaded is gong to eat almost 10,000 feet....takes a lot to get that big bitch moving down the strip.

Now when you are cruising to target, you need to remember the plane isn't going to hold at a level altitude, you are going to drop a bit, but just climb her back up....

Remember she is a truck.......a bomb truck and that load of fuel and bombs is going to make her monster to handle until you drop that weight...
