.... and struggling here, but we DO have progress. Simon finally sent me the Beta 1 version of our upcoming Lockheed Hudson. He's having problems with his zip routine, or his upload, so I don't see the cockpit yet, but we're finally getting somewhere. We DO need some additional data.... still looking for more pictures, flight data and cockpit photos of the thing. Not so easy to get at ! And yes, Simon confiormed now that we WILL have a civilian version as well !

Looking forward to this one.
And grabbed the Lysander and Gladiator combo today. Thanks!

Had all three of these as 1/72 plastic models way back when, hmm Lysander might have been 1/48...
All either succumbed to my Mom's cleaning technique or airgun fire but I remember really liking the Hudson in plastic form for some reason (probably the turret).

i dont know if it will help..but the air classics magazine did a 3 part story on the hudson, and all its variants awhile back..check the challenge publications website for the issues, they had some awesome and fairly rare pics

Ummm...:icon_lol:

I read it that Francois has had progress on the Hudson but no new pics to go with it..........if in fact you DO want Hudson details there is preserved Hudson about 2hrs from here at the MOTAT museum in Auckland....there is a slim chance I might get up there sometime after Christmas.

Edit..I shoud of really read the post more carefully...dohh..yep mre pics needed ..I might be able to help...

Thanks for the tips, gents, they are all appreciated, whether we already knew them or not. REAL photos are always preferred, the internet usually doesn't provide high enough resolution. If I'd have MONEY, I'd fly out myself to do the picture taking (like I did with the Storch), but that's not in the stars for now.

I have some books about the Hudson, but most don't really discuss flight handling :-(

François, if you need real photo's of the Hudson let me know what of. And I'll try and get out to Temora Air Museum in the new year and get them for you. Drop me a PM. :)

Francois, I'm not sure if you have the books on the 320th Squadron?
They are not cheap, but have a lot of pictures of Hudsons.
They are called 'De Vliegtuigen van 320 Squadron ' and 'De Operaties van 320 Squadron' and are written by Nico Geldhof.
Check here for instance.

Hoi Jan-Kees, nope don't have them. Even if I did, it is Simon who'd need them :) I'll have a look ! Menge tak !

[Slaps head silly !!!] ....... I bought stuff on the Lysander from there! Old brains ! Thanks for the reminder Jan, good stuff !!

Meanwhile we now have the Hudson Beta 1 actually flying (mil version) and it looks good for further work !!

Francois, maybe this will help?
