Moving AC to a LatLong position

In FSX I would like to start up from a certain latitude/longitude instead of an airport. I cannot remember the format for entering the position. Could someone offer up their expertise please?

I do this by going into the map view from within FSX flight.....

Just enter the Long. and Lat. on the left...

If you want to go there all the time after you are moved there save the flight as your drfault flight

There might be a better way, but thats how I do it... Just change the numbers..My keyboard has no little (0) degree deal..

° is done by having the Num Lock key lit and holding the Alt key and typing 0176. It has to be done on the right key pad with the Num Lock key lit.
I've done my good deed for the day. You can find others in the Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Character Map.

:applause:...Well..thanks Joe...I never knew that...

I never read all that stuff in there.......

That really worked, Map placed me where I wanted and being able to add the that degree symbol did the trick.

I do have one more question. Is is possible to add an airport ICAO to the FSX Airport database; where ever that is? I can't find it.

You don't need to use the degree or any other symbol. All the following formats work for the same location:

n48 31 31.88
n 48 31 31.88
n48 31.5313333
n48.5255222

Thanks Jim, and all. Got everything working. Added ICAO's at three existing lakes in Utah.
