• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Ok,

I've found the page in the router set up where I can sort out port forwarding. I assume that 2300 in the external port and 28883 is the internal port. I also have to choose a service, what do I need to select there?

i use off for one, and offa for the other,,,on my linksys, it does not have be the actual exe you are running...not sure what you mean as far as external and internal ports...

ok,,sorry if you meant udp or tcp for service,,,its udp for both

By service it wants me to select something like FTP, DNS, HTTP etc etc. I've set it to manual and just typed in UDP and it has accepted that.

I've re-started the game and CTRL H still shows that rather odd IP address, so I guess I've got something wrong somewhere.

Unfortunately I'm running out of time now so I'll have another look at it in an hour, after I've done taxi duty for my teenage son!

one of the problems, is that i was running ver 1.9d.....still scratching my head about that one.

but, if you get your router squared away, and want to try mp aroung 8ish edt give me a post.
