MR type scenery Help

I was working on it a little last night. I'm still not happy with my end results. but i did manage to get everything to line up. My masks need work.

Shadow Wolf, do you have a WWI install?

Pusan looks great. Any chance you could do a Japanese base. Iwakuni...

id=xxxx
name=Honshu-Kuga (Iwakuni)
base_lat=N34 8.50

units_across=1

It was the first base the RAAF NO 77 Squadron used at the start of the Korean War. Once I finish my WWI, I was planing on an RAAF campaign.

Talon has been using Wolfi's or XavierB's (I think) bases in Japan for his Korean install(s). I'll bounce your info off him to see if that base is already done. If it doesn't exist or needs to be updated, I'll work on it.

No I don't have a WW1 install... Right now though, my efforts are going towards some Beta testing of P-38 missions for Rami.

i think its one of XavierB's. its from the far east scenery. there is just a dirt airfield there now. No 77 flew mustangs and meteors from there. some of the first missions where escort missions for the B-29s. also ground attack missions. I think I have pics of the airfield and harbor.

as far as my WWI scenery goes. well its not for right now. I have to figureout how to do the masks in my version of PSP. its the same but different. I'm using Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3. I'll get it eventually.

Thank You for your help guys. I'm atleast able to get the images to line up. the rest will follow.

If anyone is interested in helping let me know. I have all of the fields, around 30 in all, not including the aerocrate scenery. I've done some for the AEF as well. So there are some new options for mission builders in the WWI theater.

Till Later,
John

I'll take a look at his "far East" package and see if it needs updating - is it textured? - is it GSL? Yes, pics or maps of the base would be helpful.

Four images for Iwakuni.

I had one that showed the harbor but i'm unable to find it. I'll get shots of what is in CFS2 next.

I believe this is looking south, the harbor is to the left.
Iwakuni-3.jpg
this is the flight line... I think you would be looking east.

Iwakuni-2.jpg
I think this is looking north.

Iwakuni-1.jpg
north with the flight line in view.

After adding some structures. Will this work for you? I tried to keep it close to the layout in the photos above.

Back to ground work...

So I'm looking at my WWI Scenery again.

I want to redo the airfields. I've been playing with it and I'm still stuck. I want to add the roads in such away that they look natural and not overlap like they do now.

Anyone interested in giving it a try.

I am woundering if the pixel size is an issue. maybe thats why I can't get the detail that I want.

probably dirt or muddy roads. they are more or less truck and wagon tracks in some cases.

Then I recomend using a dark to medium brown texture (browse to your cfs2 texture folder to find one) and use the taxiway function in FSSC as I did above. Or if you want them uneven or irregular, as opposed to straight lines, just mask them in using the 100% settings for the density and thickness and 75% for hardness and using the same texture you selected. Make them as wide or as thin as you want. Notice the roads in this screenshot below - I made them.
