MSFS 2024 Release Date

not buying it until I know exactly what it needs, how it's supposed to work, and then how it actually works - or fails - for a solid 90 days after it's released. I plan to put it on a rig built to run it, not this 5 year old i7 rig.
I'm hoping to keep both 2020 and 2024 up and running for at least a year long overlap. I don't dive head first into unknown depths anymore. That's a game for the rich and the reckless.
I hope 2024 is a success from the start - but when does that ever happen?

Having lost so many dear friends and so many great people in the aviation industry to illness over the past 18 months I am going down the rich & reckless route - roll on the 19th Nov !!!! Live for today !!

Yep. If some of my existing stuff breaks for a while, there will be plenty of new stuff in FS24 to keep me occupied while I wait for fixes. If anything, narrowing down my available library of planes would be good in order to get me to master more of them. :) Plus so many of the new planes are appealing to me: A400, Albatross, Seastar, C-17, Savage Norden, updated Twin Otter that hopefully finally fixes its quirks...

Even with the basic Standard version there will be plenty of toys to keep us busy. And we'll have to explorer the "innards" of the sim as well!

I foresee hours of clicking pleasure, gnashing of teeth, cursing, and happy discoveries!! :jump:

Ughmmm, wait till you get that message that says you can't access the sim because too many people are on the server, you'll wish you hadn't deleted 2020.

Not to sure yuo will get that message anymore. I have restarted my sim 4 times today, and each time it only takes about 1.5 minutes to load.
