Is there any news about boxed editions being released in the states..?
Dates or stores offering DVD releases..?

The boxed editions are just being released in Europe, not US. But if you really want the discs/manual, you some of the EU retailers will ship to the USA.

Boxed DVD Edition is exclusive to Europe.
Nobody, but nobody knows why.

It's ridiculous. There's already, apparently - a 1.3 GB Update - which hurls the DVDs at the ground at Mach 2.5.
