MSI Afterburner

Being a tool used by many for games and Flight simmers I' intend to use it for MSFS 2024.

I downloaded the latest Beta3 version 4.6.6 which includes the RivaTurner Statisics Server and runtime files. All were installed on a new PC operating with Windows 11 Home Ver 23H2, DirectX 12. When attempting to use the program it would not show selected options in a game. MSFS 2024 is not available yet to try. Also provided by the MSI download is a Desktop Overlay Host which paints a purple rectangle on the monitor which I'm guessing substitutes as a game for testing. That was also tried without success. After a few tries the message " Required DirectX runtimes are not installed! On Screen display may not work properly." was displayed.

The DirectX files downloaded by the MSI program may be out of date or somehow lost, corrupted or incompatible.

Any help , experiences or solutions would be appreciated. How would I find and download the correct runtime files for the MSI program if they are the problem?

Thanks, Jim

Riva Turner v7.3.6 was offered for download when I tried again to run Afterburner. V7.3.6 was installed. Statistics were successfully displayed on the purple screen of the Desktop Overlay Host. :) The frame rate indicated a surprisingly low 30 fps. Now to try on a game and MSFS 2024 when it's available.

Afterburner was started then MSFS 2024. During the sim load it crashed to desktop. Three attempts failed.
With Afterburner inactive Msfs 2024 was started and a flight was initiated. While the flight was active Afterburner was started and selected statistics were displayed successfully. However, if the flight is manually interrupted the sim will CTD.
