I am having issue trying to set up multiplayer games on my wireless betwork at home. 1 computer runs on Vista (that might be the problem right there) and 1 is on XP. I do the IP address link and neither one of the computors can find each other. Help.

Try to use a virtual network program like HAMACHI. But you need to be connected to internet for using HAMACHI.

Hi, You have to configure your home network.
I assume both computers can access the internet through a wireless router.
First of all I ask does your router allow wired network also.
Most have at least one LAN port and some also have USB.
Any wired configuration will be easier to set up work much faster than wireless.

You say computers can't find each other, is this CFS2 multiplayer not locating sessions
or at all?
You should be able to see shared files on each computer.
If not make sure both computers are members of the same work group
and are actually on the same network.
Once you have established that the computers can see each other via network file sharing
It might also be neccesary to configure your router.

The router is configured by means of a special web page
You have to enter the local IP address of your router into the address bar on your browser.
it will be some thing like 192.168.1.1
It depends on what make of router you have as to the IP address and layout of the config web page.
You are looking for application sharing or port sharing.
There is usually a dropdown list of common applications
CFS2 uses DX7 directplay which is a standard for exchanging packets of data among many games. So if CFS isn't listed pick FlightSim FS2002 or just DX7.
You will also need to configure firewalls on both PCs to allow CFS2 to access ports on each computer.

I hope you get it working, direct connection is the most satisfactory way to play multiplayer CFS2.

Edit CFS2.cfg the multiplay section

allow plane model and texture send and recieve
this only works on LAN so you might as well
