Museum Of The Pacific War, Fredericksburg Tx

One could plan a vacation to this museum, and then head for New Orleans to see the WWII museum there. That would make for quite a week.

That you can & the scary thing about Fredericksburg is that there are plenty of places for the other half to go shopping! :icon_eek:
Give me a holler if ya' ever do make a vacation of it

I definitely will. I managed three nice museums on the East Coast this summer and only scratched the surface there.

I want to get down to Texas to see the old sites from when I was stationed there in the early 70s. My brother and I have been talking about a hunting trip to the Lone Star State sometime in the future. We'll have to see what shakes out in a year or two.

P.S. Let's keep the shopping thing between us and not let the girls onto that little secret.

Regarding the "operations board" photo, I wonder if someone can help me with a couple of the terms under the weather data section. I think I can figure out WIND DIR and WIND SPEED but I'm stumped by WAFFLE, QUILT, and MATRESS. Something to do with sea state perhaps?
