Mutiple Monitors

I'm using Nav GeForce 9800GTX x2 cards on Vista 32 can anyone advise me how to run FSX in full screen with Flight Commander on a seperate monitor?

you should be able to simply go into your NVidia control panel and use the Dual Monitor setting to accomplish that. I'm running an NVidia 9600gt single card and running dual monitors as well.

Thanks for the reply but can you run FSX in full screen mode or are you in window mode?

To run a second application on the second monitor you will need to be in window mode.

Here's what I have. . . .If I'm running in Windowed mode, I can place any additional app or pop up on the second monitor. If I'm in full screen mode, then the only things that can run on the second monitor will be pop ups or a third party app that actually runs inside FSX (much like you can with FSNav in FS9). I know of no such apps for FSX.
A side note to that. . .if you're in Multiplayer and using FSHost Client, then you have to be in windowed mode, not full screen, so there are cases where you could not run in full screen and do what you're apparently wanting to do.

Thanks every one. It seems full screen and multiple screens are not possible in Vista:frown:
Full screen isn't a product of Vista, it's controlled by the sim. You should not have any problem going into full screen mode while flying. I had Vista for a little over a year and a half before going to Windows7 and never had a problem running full screen in FSX. Now, running FSX where it filled both monitors. . .nope, Vista doesn't do that, despite what you may hear.

With ATI and FSX I was able to run full screen, and drag apps across to my second monitor by undocking them...

After setting it up and launching FSX, my second monitor goes blank, and they I could drag things across like map, Air Traffic , Guages that would open, etc.

Yep, same here. I'm not sure but I was thinking by "full screen" he might have meant spreading the view across two monitors, which I was never able to do with either Vista or the current Windows7. Too bad. But you're right as well harleyman, just running in FSX full screen should be no problem and you can undock and drag the pop ups to the other monitor. LOVE that second monitor, lol.
