My Annuschka Flies Once More- Aerosoft An-2 RELEASED

Aerosoft stated that they will be adjusting the sounds. THey were set to sound like the pilot would hear with his headset on. Guess they didn't realize that when we flight simmers put our headsets on, it would end up with whispering sounds (double muffled). Glad to hear they will address that in the coming update.

The issue with no animations when installed outside the default "...documents/P3Dv4 add-on's" folder, will be addressed as well.

Love this plane. Fact is that I keep P3D v3 just because of Sibwings model. That "Serviço Aéreo" skin is a must...would like to have a good An-2 in P3D v4 but at 31 € (roughly 36.4 USD), will pass...

Regards

Euro 25.17 ($30) at simmarket, if you are interested.

What is the issue when not installing to the root drive c? Is this a P3D thing? I have yet to get P3Dv4 installed, as I need to reconfigure the PC with a new SSD. Can I not install P3D on its own drive?

Absolutely- I run P3D v4.1 on a dedicated SSD. All my scenery (except for Orbx) also resides in a separate folder on the separate drive.

Got it going on it?s own drive, a 1Tb SSD evo, I have a couple of A2A singles installed and am placing the Orbx scenery I have back. So far I am happy with what I see. I need to start playing with the settings to see what I can and cannot get away with in terms of visuals and performance.

Thanks for the feedback

Andrew,

Aerosoft released an updated version fixing this issue

Hidden Manuals

The manuals are in P3D4\Ecosystem\Aerosoft\AN2. Sheesh! The lady is a bear to trim, but still a lady. I can't get the flaps to work either.
LOL

I raised the flap and toe brakes thing at aerosoft and got a run around answer that provided no helpful resolve, then they locked the post saying they believed it was answered before ensuring it was resolved with the OP

I must admit the aerosoft forums are useless at the best of times unless you are there to kiss ass

however I have found F5-F8 works for flaps, im still trying to work out how to get toe brakes to work, from what im experiencing, it is not yoke or quadrant assignment friendly

I'm back at Bowerman, the weather is total crap... and yet, I'm smiling once more... Alex hath wrought a thing of beauty in this SNK of the aviation world. Every retired Aeroflot captain from Vilnius to Vladivostok ought to revel in this delightful creation...

LOL, I gotta quit following your delightful threads, they hurt my wallet.

Great immersion, as always Cooper. Glad to see the new AN2 is meeting your expectations. I bought her day one and have not gotten her to run without blowing up the engine, guess it's time to read the manual! Also expanded my Orbx library, based on your earlier circuit. Beautiful stuff indeed.

Thanks for posting great stuff.

Matt
