My favorite season

Yup, this is my favorite season alright, and for those that have any doubt we do have 4 seasons in Canada :canada:, Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter and Road Construction... and with the beginning of the "Road Construction" season in my little neck of the woods, we have 2 thing that come INTO season - Cold Water Lobster, and Fiddleheads... I just finished the first feed of both to mark the beginning of this most favorite season :icon_lol:

The crazy thing is right now the Fiddleheads cost more per lb than the lobster... go figure, $4.99/lb for fresh Fiddleheads, and $3.99/lb for fresh Lobster... I am not complaining mind you I have seen Lobster as high as $12.00 on the wharf, and was happy to pay that price, I just couldn't buy as much. You might think I am nuts to say I was happy to pay a high price, but consider this, I buy from the fisherman and he is getting every penny of the money I spend, so yes I am happy no matter what the cost, I always spend the same amount of money roughly, it just means I get more or less depending on the price. Any time I can put my cash in the hand of the person responsible for catching, growing or making the goods I buy I am happy to pay the price! I do especially like my lobster guy though, I generally get to go out lobster fishing with him once or twice a season so that is a special treat I get for free :)

I suspect there is one member in here who will be just a bit jelous seeing this post, but I won't tell who that might be... wink wink nod nod...:d

My wife and I fell in love with the scallops while visiting. Darn they are good.

Gig, I'd gladly trade ya all four of your seasons for the one season I have here in the first coast.
