My favourite biplane............

I had another look at the He51 yesterday and realised straight away why I'd not taken to it the first time around. Landing it is like sitting on the back of an express train.. the front is so darned long!:biggrin-new: It IS a nice model though so I'll keep it in the hangar this time;)

Am I allowed to join in?

But of course:encouragement:

I keep that installed too. Like many of these old models.. I'm not sure the FD is.. err.. accurate but it sure is fun to fly. Great on FR's too so you can fill the sky with the darned things!!:biggrin-new:

Still a winner - and still free - OFischers Bucker Jungmann

someday it might be nice to get a new 131...or one of these...

Yes the Jungmann is a good one.:encouragement:
Slightly OT, has anyone seen a paint for G-BSAJ for the Jungmann? I downloaded the paintkit, but it's in PSP format, otherwise I'd have a go myself.

My all time favorite RS Stearman...

Not seen one for BSAJ Dave.. it'd be on my HD if I had. Don't have PSP either:(

Same here Dave, I haven't seen G-BSAJ. The model is difficult to repaint as it has separate textures for the external model as seen from the VC. The wings are mirrored and to enable tepainters to add registration codes there is a section on the wings which has a separate texture and on top of that there is a strange distortion in the aft part of the fuselage.

I really don't want to discourage you, but this limits the possibilities to repaint this model.

Good luck,
Huub

That's a shame Huub. I've seen Anna Walker fly AJ almost as many times as I've been to Duxford airshows (and that's a LOT). We'll have to make do with JT's paint and use our imagination:very_drunk:

There are a few very nice biplanes from the Great War available. However they are beautiful, but often quite slow :biggrin-new:

And I even still have this one installed. Old but still the best Fokker D.VII which will work in FSX

hahahahaha:biggrin-new:

I've had a look through some of the many shots I have of BSAJ and there IS one advantage over JT's BJAL.. no wing reg:jump: This might be worth a cut'n'shut job:afro:

Huub, just a fantastic thread... :wavey: Thank you
Could you tell me more about this aircraft it looks great

The picture in the shot looks like the Aircraft Factory Albatros D.III(Oef).. a lovely model and almost aerobatic. The text under it refers to the model below that.. not to this shot:)

DC

Its indeed the payware Aircraft Factory Albatros D.III(Oef). This brilliant skin can be found here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?70768-Albatros-D-III-(Oeffag)-The-Black-Baron-zip .

I hope one that that they will make a new Fokker D.VII for FSX in this quality.

Cheers,
huub

Dave.. where did you find the paint kit?? I've looked at all the places I know and have drawn a blank:banghead: Thing is.. I've dug through some of my old CD's and found a copy of PSP7 Anniversary Edition (god knows what that means) and have installed it on my WinXP pc. It's probably the same vintage as the model so it should work:encouragement:
