My little painting room

Christoph perfect work! :)
but have to correct you in regards of the description Esercito is not Italian Air Force it is the Italian Army ;)

Hi,
nice to see that you like it.
@Txmmy83:
Thanks for the headsup!! Epic fail by me. Should do the paperwork correct:banghead:
Have updated my files....

In the meantime I have some new projects running:

More to come later...

Nice, you might want to re visit the serial and colour, I see your trying to replicate a RAAF 1 Sqn scheme F111

The correct serial would start A8-XXX not AB-XXX, anyway 136 is a 6 Sqn serial which means you would have to change the tail flash

the correct colour codes for the 1 Sqn Dark grey is
R105
G115
B127

However if your going to try and replicate the FA18F look, you need to change the serial to A44- and loose the black nose and colour code to
R157
G164
B170

It can be very difficult to paint other nations than your own military schemes when you dont have the background knowledge, For me I rarely paint them these day as they can quickly offend people if you do details like roundels and liveries incorrectly

Hi,

thanks for the detailed input!! I will take it into account.
Of course my paint is very much WIP. Just ment as a "fist glimpse".
In the end it will replicate the coloursheme of the F-111 .
The tailnumber will be changed to A8-129.

Regards,

Christoph

Hello everyone.

I need a finnish decal for a future project but I can't find a good picture of it:-(
It is the animal (maybe a cat) you can find on tails of some finnish fighters.
Like on the picture below:

Would be very nice if someone could help me out.

Thanks in advance

Christoph:wavey:

Try this. Actual photo rather than decal sheet.
This one is on the tail of a Mig-12 but the HävLLv 31 (31 Squadron) flies FA-18s now.

@fsafranek: Thanks you very much!! I already had a similar picture but this one is even more detailed- PERFECT:applause:

@000rick000:
If you mean the general scenery: i use FTX GLOBAL + VEKTOR + LC EUROPE + Orbx Trees
The airport: Sonderborg from VIDAN Design.
Grafics enhancement: PTA with a preset from Novation ( http://www.avsim.com/topic/490178-prepar3d-tweak-assistant-pta-screenshots-presets/page-2 )
And of course all in P3Dv3

I hope that's what you asked for?

Regards,

Christoph

Outstanding work Christoph. It is now one of my favorites, forever to find a home on my hard drive.

Christoph, Rick asked what kind of Global Env (enviroment) texture you used. :untroubled:

Cheers,
Hank

What Henk said! There are 2 files that control the reflection on aircraft and one specifically for "Chrome" (unless you use P3Dv3 Dynamic Reflections). Was curious if you replaced these with custom ones?

@hae5904: Thank you for the clarifacation:biggrin-new:

@000rick000: To give (finally) an answer: Yes I am using dynamic reflaction in P3Dv3 (highest quality). But banjoman1960 also gave me an ENV-texture which is included in my paint.
@fuzz1: Thank you very much for your nice feedback! Always nice to hear:wiggle:.

Greetings,

Christoph

Hey Christoph - the Lufthansa looks lovely. Have a big soft spot for the classic European schemes, and with most of my non-military simming taking place in early 60s Calclassic airports, that scheme is perfect.

I can't remember where I read you were thinking of a Swiss DC-3 - I can't find it now. Is HB-IRN one you're open to? It sure is lovely ...

Would certainly get used on the Zurich - Geneva milk runs ... :wavey:

thanks again for all your work!
