My trip to Indianapolis. Not without problems.

I left home in Farner, TN at 4:30 yesterday morning (I like to get an early start). All was going well until I hit a chuckhole on I-64, about an hour from Louisville, KY. Upon inspection of the the tires/wheels at a nearby rest stop, I discovered that both passenger side tires were damaged, with small bulges near the rim. Not good. Using my GPS, I found a tire shop less than a mile from my location, and drove there immediately. The manager confirmed that my tires were ruined, and needed replaced. But he added that they didn't stock the size tire I needed. Right about that time, one of his employees walked up and told him they indeed have TWO of the size tires in stock! So they replaced my tires, did an alignment, and I was on my way. But one more strange coincidence: the tire shop has never been open on Saturdays; that is, until yesterday. I'm convinced I had a guardian angel watching over me yesterday...... and I am so very thankful!

Am in Indianapolis for a memorial. I'll head home on Tuesday. Going to help my sister at her swim suit store, putting up some shelving for her on Monday.

It is amazing how things will often come together in that way. I am glad to hear your trip didn't hit any serious snags. Have fun and enjoy yourself.

I am so happy that your guardian angel was on duty for you during your trip. "Coincidences" like that prove that things in life are not always the random events we think they are.

And I am happy that you are putting shelves up at your sister's swim suit store. As I began reading that line...I got this horrible vision of a middle age man modeling a speedo and was screaming at the top of my lungs......DON'T DO IT CHIEF!!! DON'T MODEL THAT SPEEDO FOR THE CUSTOMERS!!!

Glad this had a good ending Navy Chief. I also believe we are being watched over. Too many things happen that just can't be explained by logic alone. Safe trip Amigo
