• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I saw this on another forum in a thread about inanimate objects with faces on them, and I was just wondering if anyone could identify it.:rapture:

One thing you can say about the Brits, they win the trophy for unusal aircraft design.

I got to see the last flying RAF Shackleton fly. It was such a lady as she flew by with those wonderful RR Griffon engines pounding out the horse power.

ok then hows bout this one, if you know your aviation history it shouldnt be that hard

I've got it down as the "Cody British Army Aeoplane No.1" that was first flown 16th Ocotber 1908, the first powered aeroplane to fly in britain, weather it had any nicknames or not i dont know :)

I was saving this one for a rainy day in the Historical Wings Forum, but it should be a fun one here.

And no, it's not a PBY Catalina
