OMG! Did you people see this? Nicole Briscoe took the words from my lips - "best anthem this year". It took an 11 year old to show how it's done. And a T-28 fly-over to top it off.
 
oh lord.....i missed it,,but my dad told me ,"you missed the flyover,it was some sort of small jet,short lil wings".......it was a T-28?.....i know if i tell him he will just get mad....but i will anyway...hehehehe,years ago there was a B-26K onmark invader at Beale during an open house....as we were driving in,we saw it,,i said to my family in the car.."oh look,a B-26,,thats rare!"..was to me..id never seen one before....dad says..."is not,,i dont know what that is,but its not a B-26,they are round,thats not,,that is nothing like a B-26!!" and then laughed and so did my family..like i was some sort of idiot...like id been made to feel most of my life....i went on to say,,"if you'd stop laughing and listen,,i said it was an invader,not a marauder,this plane was a A-26,and became a B-26 later"...to which my dad said..."just be quite,yer wrong,i know more than you do,and allways have"................so to this day...im 51 and he is 77,i make sure point out his mistakes whenever possible...he would yell at me over the way i held a screw driver while at work with 10 other guys crowded around and made look and feel like a snail,,,,and if i talked back or dared to get mad and yell back...i was allways told i had no right to raise my voice to him because i was the son....today he says...after all ive done for you...you have no right to talk back to me.....doesnt mater what the subject or topic...i have no right to defend myself,,because im disabled and have to rely onhim just like when i was a kid.........

I believe the little girls performance was indeed the best I have heard this year. Children are not trying to prove anything, they just do the best they can.
 
I did see and hear her sing the national anthem and she did an awesome job!

The T-28 flyover was good too, but I see that T-28 on a regular basis. On many weekends it flies right over my house, fairly low, on its way to KFCI, where it is hangared.
