Native FSX Grumman Mallard

Early work in progress of the exterior texture work... She's fsx native now, but bumps and specs aren't active 'yet' as we wanted to get the groundwork in first without that stpe. Starting to build detail and highlights in now... Riveting nearly all done, panels sorted, Larry is working on the gear anims, then we start to hit virgin territory...

Very cool! After seeing many shots of the default Goose HD conversion in Orbx Pago Pago I was thinking of this plane too!

I just got the impression Aussieman thought I was posting it for Larry :p he's slaving away in the cockpit at the moment and Paul is helping out on gear animations, I've been busting my butt on these exterior textures to get it finished so I can move to the vc :D

Now to work on the non metal one... (needs another coat of white I think, panel lines a bit dark :S

Minor delay on the Navion A, it's nearly finished, but we're waiting on our code monkey getting internet again...

Ah come on I was a phone call away.... :a1310:

LOL

of course that is probably as close as I could have gotten to the internet too.

The code was done Dec 28, 2014 and uploaded to drop box. I was waiting on Larry to get freed from his house guests to go over the modeldef.xml changes. :biggrin-new:

Looks like it is time to go back to work now.

:dizzy: Now what is that code supposed to do? :mixed-smiley-027:

I have been trialing Milton's G-73 FS9 model in FSX and as a serial porter-over of all things FS9 into FSX have only just appreciated the difference you can tell between both models in these screenies - must be the shadowing and bump mapping etc. Never really paid that much attention to this before. Looks terrific!

Working on the fuel gauge code and animations...

I did not have the actual source files to edit the code and test so Larry told me to improvise

so I did.

:biggrin-new:

Close enough.

Add a wooden shoe, and a pair of wings - done. :very_drunk:

Just a quick comment to say "very stoked" about this. Big fan of the Grumman amphibs. This will be a sweet project once done.
