NCGent's Airco DH-2

Downloaded this plane from Flightsim.com, along with the gauge pack, installed it, and it would not start. I was able to get it to the point that it will start...using Air Wrench and some copy and pasting form the Wrenched config and air files into copies of the stock files...pure dumb luck prevails when intellect and skill are lacking.

Not sure if anyone has done a fix for this plane or not, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has done a real fix for the plane before uploading my happenstance fix.

Also, working on a paint template for the plane and can not find any info about what the bottom of the fuselage is covered with...metal or cloth. Anyone happen to know?

I think if you see his read me -- you have to have the throttle open to
start it - He tried his best (within the limitation's of MSFS) to emulate a
rotary engine which of course had no throttle but was controlled by a
"blip" switch which basically killed the ignition momentairly - His fix for
this requires you run the throttle open all the time.

By the way - I took his fix and wrote it into Dave Ekert's Camel and
Ted Cook's Salamander.......it makes flying these beasties a little
more challenging. :icon_lol:

Read Me? What? Real men don't read directions....we simply blunder around messing things up until we get lucky and finally get it right.

Thanks for the info, RyDraiggoch. Yeah, if I were to begin reading read me files, I might have just a few fewer problems.
