• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Nearly there (?)

Mwahahahahahaha!

(Yes, you need that magnifying glass. And yes, it's just the port light.)

It's just the ground splash so far, but Lotus'/VRS' system freaking WORKS!

I don't have any idea though how large the moving lighsplash is or its intensity.

Can some of you RL pilots help me out?

I've assumed the maximum range of the 450W lights of the 328 to be 3.5 km and the splash kicks in at about 1600ft.
Reference were the 600W lights of an A320 which can apparently illuminate signs on the runway end from about 5 kms away on final.

Alternatively, could you guys owning the L39 or F-18E take a peek at the size and intensity of the splashes there?

(Light cones are to be implemented later.)
