Need a little more help with ADE

Got most of ADE figured out,but am having problems with parking.I place a parking spot, and this is where I'm confused.I have read and seen videos that put apron, taxi which is it.Also does that spot have to have a flight plan.I don't see any plane there.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This has been up a while so I'll give it a shot. The ADE manual shows apron lines going to parking spots. They will overlay on the surface but not create one (concrete, asphalt). The parking spot doesn't need a flight plan but FSX isn't going to place an AI airplane on it 100% of the time either. It does need to be in the taxi system to be used by FSX though. On the other hand if it is in the system you can use it as a starting point for yourself by selecting it from the menu of starting points instead of using the default starting point at the end of the runway. Hope this helps somebody.

ADE also has an error check capability. Always run that before compiling your "final" version. It will catch
problems like orphaned parking spots and broken taxi links, etc.

The FS9/X AI parking assignment is somewhat mysterious in many areas, A couple of key requirements, once the taxi system integrity
is confirmed, are size of a parking place vs wingspan/2, relationship of parking to the runway taxi path used by AI when landing.

I don't fly with AI any longer as almost all my flying is done in Multi-player these days. In that regime iI have found that it is
absolutely necessary to have a parking spot sized to accept then aircraft you are spawning with. Otherwise you will wind up
being spawned directly to the active runway or in the air if someone else is sitting on the active spawn point.

Thanks, you answered many of my questions.Funny thing happed today.I'm building Carswell JRB,and had the just flight traffic pack 1 military installed.Loaded up Carswell and seen about half the parking spots filled with all kinds of military aircraft from F-18s,C-130 and a few others. But none of them had textures. Still scratching my head on this.
