Need Advice on Upgrade From FSX Standard to Deluxe

Cheapskate that I am, I got into simming by buying FSX Standard, not really knowing what I was doing. Now that I'm hooked, I want to upgrade to Deluxe. I know that there is no "upgrade" per se, and I'll just have to buy the full Deluxe package. At the moment, I have FSX standard and Acceleration. Has anyone around here done this and if so, are there any pitfalls to be aware of? All advice and suggestions will be very gratefully received!

As long as you do a fresh install you should be fine, the funny thing is there was initially issues with Acceleration with people using the standard version because it used gauges from the deluxe version.

Just make sure when you a do a fresh install, that you checl a;; files are deleted, if not d othem manually before the re-install

Thanks for the replies guys!

Guzler, I don't think that I understand your suggestion. Can you elaborate just a bit? Thanks!
