There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

How deeply involved do you want to get?
Gmax or FSDS - Flight Sim Design Studio, would be the programs to start with. Both are 3D modeling programs. Gmax is Free where FSDS is purchased from Abacus. If you buy FSDS you'll have to ask for the old version 2.24 to make objects for CFS2.
There are a few of us here that can help you get started. That is my recommended route.
If you want a simpler method then you could try EOD - Easy Object designer. I've never used it myself. You will be very limited as to what you can do.
Give us a little more insite as to what you'd like to do and I'm sure we can help you get there.
Till Later,
John
Now its up to you what you want to get. If you want the free route I'd go with Gmax. There is a little more of a learning curve with it. It is a very good 3d modeler.

The next would be the Abacus FSDS.

to make models for CFS2 you will want to ask for the 2.24 version after you order. I believe you will have to email or call them.
The last option is Max3D (I think that is) might be 3ds Max. I've never used it/them. I'm not sure if its free or Payware. It is comparable to Gmax if not a bit better. A few of the FSX modelers are using it. not sure if it will work for CFS2.
There are other things that you will need. different programs and plug-ins but that should get you moving.
Hummmm....
Try running it in XP mod. I think we'll need someone working in win 7 to lend a hand.
I loaded gMax on to my Win7 just fine. Also the code from No Dice site worked.
