As for the landing "shakes", that's just a little stock FDE magic to let you know you're entering a low speed stall. Its really a good sign if you're just inches from touch down. A general rule for landing prop planes on runways is that the perfect 3-point landing is best facilitated by a controlled landing speed stall just a couple of feet off the deck. You get your 3-pointer and save some brake power for later when you might really need it. :d
