I get the following message whe trying to run CFS3: The cinfiguration file is out of date please re-run CFS3. CFS3 will now exit.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

....and after doing that, make a shortcut of config on the desktop, and run config.exe periodically. it has a habit of losing your settings occassionally.:wavey:
 
And always exit the program from the menu.. NOT the red X in the corner..If not changes may not be saved..
 
Hi guys, programs now runs until it gets to a point where the screen flickers and a message pop out that says "mission file failed to load"
 
you're missing some elements of the mission you're trying to load....open it in mission builder and you'll see pop up messages about just what's missing.....also try deleting your uisel first...it'll be automatically regenerated when you restart the sim and it might be calling for a quick combat plane that you've tried and removed.....giving you the old "failed to load" tag.
 
Gaw, I am not trying to fly any mission...just trying to load the game, also I cannot find the file "uisel" to delete, how can I start the game in m ission builder?, thanks for all your help guys.

If you are using WinXP, the file path is Documents and settings\[your username]\application data\microsoft\combat flight simulator 3.0. Its worth knowing that there are three places where cfs3 puts files: the main install where aircraft etc live, the My documents location for some info and screenshots, and the Application Data pathway.

I am running Windows Vista, I also have MAW, and Korean Ari War and they run fine, so I think my next step will be to uninstall CFS3 and istall it again.

in vista the uisel file is located in C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\combat flight simulator 3.0\

Gandi, thank you for helping me find that file, but after deleting it I get the same error, I think I am going to unistall CFS3 and start again:censored:

Ok, I unistalled CFS3 and re-insatlled again, now it works fine...thanks to you all for your assistance.
