Stefano,
You are absolutely right on that one. It's my responsibility to check before approving, and I should have smelled a rat. This one slipped through the wickets, and you have my apologies. I added this to the package...
This readme file was added by the SOH librarian on 29 February, 2016 to ensure that credit is given to kelticheart, Chalachew, Beepee, and Gius for their WWII Italian gauges.
Thank you to all of them for their hard work and attention to detail.
"Rami"
....and you are absolutely not responsible for someone else's faults!!!! Andrew, no apologies needed whatsoever.
This is why I purposely posted the link to the manual/gauge library MVG3d and I, with the constant cooperation of the above mentioned, uploaded to provide anyone, willing to create WWII Italian instrument panels, with authentic-looking gauges of the period.
Attention to details is a way of life. Although someone can deem such attitude as "rivet-counting", in the specific case of uploading an addon means also, and primarily, giving proper credits to anyone whose previous work was utilised and/or improved.
Giving due credits to who deserves them is a subjects that is constantly, and rightly so, stressed here at SOH. There's a specific set of instructions here, about how to handle an upload, that talks about credits very clearly. Volunteer work, freely donated to the flight simmers' community, deserves the highest respect. Everybody here knows that producing a good addon is not the matter of minutes.
So far, the vast majority of addon creators obliged willingly to this ethical rule of thumb. I usually spend more time writing good readme instructions (with all the allowances given to the fact English is not my mother language) with a thorough credit due list, than, proportionally, the time I spend working on the actual addon.
With all of the above said, I can't stand when someone does not comply with elementary courtesy and forum ethics. Even if in my country nowadays it might seem Jurassic and "démodé". Sadly, the Net is full of sorry examples of personal feelings thrashed without pity. Fortunately it's not the case here, so let's keep this way.
I rest me case.
