New airfields by Xavierb!

This is great stuff - ALL of Japan is included (not just Kyushu as in il-2), with all famous airbases like Matsuyama, Atsugi, Akeno, Chofu, Narimasu etc.

Now we have a home for aircraft like Ki-100, N1K2-J and B7A that didn't serve except over the homeland. Good for 1946 scenarios too methinks.....

Also the kamikaze bases in Kyushu such as Kanoya (G4M2e & Ohka's) plus Chiran and Bansei - homes of the IJAAF kamikazes.

Well worth hunting down and installing all the mesh scenery and objects etc. I can confirm that all are still available.

The links for the Japan mesh in his readme are out of date so here they are now as I found them (with the quickest download speeds) :

http://www.flightinfo.jp/jtms/files/files.html

http://www.simviation.com/fsdterrainsrtm.htm

The objects are all available either, on simviation, or both!

Thanks xb!

There are several files available for Japan mesh. Which are the correct ones for Xavier airfileds?

Don't use the Simviation mesh. It is poorly done with gaps between sections.

The other mesh link points to dead links.

Go here and download all the mesh:

http://www.ludowise.x10hosting.com/

It will take some time and will be about 2GB but it will cover all your CFS2 mesh needs now and in the future.

You shouldn't need special mesh for any CFS2 projects. A mesh set like the above should handle all your needs, as it is based on the last available SRTM data. Airfields may depend on flattens for placing runways, taxiways and objects, but the mission or airfields creator should supply those.
