New AN-12BK-V3 over at Avsim

Milton if possible please can you post a pic of where and what lever's your moving. All i see is the throttles to my left in the VC.

If you can find any levers for the mixture or fuel cutoff, then simply use the standard keyboard combo that sets the mixture to 100% ==> CTRL+SHIFT+F4.
(CTRL+SHIFT+F1 will set the mixture to zero, which is the same as fuel cutoff, so the engines will turn off)

This plane talks to you... in Russian. Even if you are in the spot view you can hear the Flight Engineer repeating what the pilot calls out. Earlier I posted a note about the textures possibly causing the scenery fuzzies... it appears that converting all of them to 32bit is the only solution, unless you know what specific textures are causing the problem. The package comes with all of the individual texture bitmaps in each folder in DXT3 format. I took one texture file and converted the whole thing, then set up a copy of that texture file as a default 32bit template. From that, I just move each exterior texture for the different planes into the default, make a copy and re-name the folder accordingly. Tedious, but it'll do the trick.

Cant be gauges, I'm using her in Prepar3D no issues as of yet in 15 flights.

You can turn steering on with 2 switches down right under yoke with letters that in latin look like "BnY"

My original download off avsim.ru had corruped gauges
All fine now

Thanks

Roland

OK, that might explain why my DL only works with a replacement panel!
With the original, on loading the aircraft, fs9 just freezes!
I'll give it another try...

Makes me wonder how files get corrupted via the wire. I downloaded my copy the same day it was released and had no issues... other than my inability to read Russian. I basically flew the model by the seat of my pants, remembering how the functions of Version 2's panel worked. All the gauges did exactly what they were supposed to do... force me to fly the An-12 as per "regulation".

Does anyone have a direct link to the download....I keep getting lost between here and there :D Not enough Vodka I guess.

Cheers

After lots of trial and error... I finally have the texture conversion to get rid of the "blurries" completed. I compiled a default folder with the converted textures (the external model textures and the pilot bmps were fine so no conversion needed) and just copied it to each texture folder, replacing the originals. Voila! If anyone is experiencing the "blurries" and would like a copy of my fix for it just let me know.

Not sure if the "An-12BK Cargo" model can be aliased to the panel and sound for An-12BK_V3... it's a different model altogether, but I'll get back to you lot on that one.

Thanks to all who have responded to this thread. You have helped me sort through most of the airplane's systems. Still inop is the elevator trim and autopilot. I have reinstalled based on comments that the gauge files may be corrupted, but the problems remain. Does anyone have any suggestions on these?

If anyone has any of the repaints I did for Vlads 09 version of the An-12 they fit the latest version, only area of poss concern are the tire treads.

Steve

Thanks for the HU, Steve... I have several of the paints you did for the 09 version of the An-12. I'll have a look at the tyres and see what's what.
