NEW: Asia-Pacific 1962 scenery

Thanks for the heads up Okami!

I'll have the ground crew fuel up the Connie and then I think my first flight will be from Tokyo's Hanada (previous Calclassic package) over to Seoul, then down to Taiwan and then perhaps over to Saigon. It'll take more than a few hours of flying to visit all of the airports, particularly all the stops out in the Pacific. I'm looking forward to it!

Been looking forward to this package for a while, of intrest to me is that some of the China airports double up nicely for military use as well, and Bejing is wonderful, im going there in september for a 10 day tour, hope it looks like that, great effort guys, thanks for your hard work.

Happy New Year everybody...
:salute:

Beijing Airport today has become very modern with new buildings built. But the old terminal which is represented in the scenery is still there. It creates a contrast of an old style of the Soviet-type architecture with a new style of the modern Chinese building.

Because of this it is a shame that there is not a good scenery of modern Beijing Capital airport, it would create a good experience to explore it.

Also, I can't help it but, I have to give respect for the lovely woman soldiers of China. :applause:

Nice to hear the old terminal still survives. Unclear from that picture what it is used for, though.

Thanks,

I've been doing a bit of the rounds of the scenery (having tried the Beta), so here are a number of shots:

1957, CAAC Flight 105, Ilyushin IL-14 @ ZBAA Beijing

1962, KLM Flight 843, Douglas DC-8-33 @ WABB Biak

1958, Pan American Flight 841, Boeing 377-10-26 Stratocruiser @ PCIS Canton Island

1962, Aeroflot Flight 10, Tupolev Tu-104B @ ZKPY Pyongyang

1962, MATS Douglas C-118A @ BII Bikini Atoll

:applause::applause::applause: (though that last one is the most disappointing Bikini Shot I've ever seen. Remember to decontaminate everything, Nikko!)

Quite busy spraying off the C-118 right now. I know it's not the best shot ever of Bikini, but at least I managed to get tanlines at midnight! ;p
