WWWHHHHYYYY??? Total waste imho.. you can't beat the Flight1 T182TC... we know their G1000 won't be nearly as good.

At least make a C172 with G1000 - those are popular trainers..

Because the Flight1 is a total framerate hog, that's why.

Because of the amazing G1000... if Carenado did one just like theirs it would be a frame rate hog as well.

I guess I'll speak for myself when I say I don't want another default-ish G1000 put in an addon unless it's as good or better than F1's.

Given certain partnerships, I can't help but wonder if Cessna may have a word or two thousand about Carenado releasing this plane?

If they do, it might be buying TWO packages of Jiffy Pop popcorn to sit back and watch the fireworks.

Carenado have boxed clever, though, as there's no mention of Cessna (or Piper) nor logo/TM anywhere on their site :icon_lol:

This looks nice to me, but I sure wish Carenado would go for some of the less common looks (like they did with the 340, 337, the JetProp Malibu, and the V35). I'd really love to see them doing a Beechcraft Skipper, or a Piper Aztec, Pocono, or Tomahawk. I have enough 172, 185, and 182 varieties. I guess they know what sells, though.

I'd like to see some more twins from them, like a Partenavia, an Aero-Commander, and an Aerostar, Carenado style.

Well, I also really want a Meridian, but I know that won't happen until the Jet-Prop has been out a while.

This is totally stupid. If they wanted to do a G1000 plane, how about redoing their 206 and putting it in there?

I don't get it.

I really hope they're not going to concentrate on glass cockpit aircraft now. I know they tend to model aircraft they have access to but I hope they'll carry on producing aircraft with primarily steam gauges. So this may be the first Carenado airplane I don't buy!

And a Piper Navajo Cheftain with Panther conversion:wavey:

Looks great! I say load em up! Since we are going to have to stick with FSX...the more detailed....the more I add to the hardware up to the hardware upgrade.

The Flight 1 model might represent the G1000 more accurately than Carenado is capable of matching, but they do so in a cartoony-looking $50 shell that, for me anyway, kills the realism that such extensive avionics bring to the table. Besides...standard G1000's are becoming dinosaurs, with the advent of the Perspective model of the G1000, which is what I fly IRL in a Cirrus SR-20. That being said, I feel as though a G1000 that is 50 to 75% operable and accurate in FSX, with an excellent visual model and FDE, is far paramount to a G1000 that is 100% accurate in a 'family-guy' skin...that costs an arm and a leg...just my opinion...
