New Coastal Forces mission pack for ETO

BeauBrummie

Home for tea and tiffin!
I have uploaded a 6 mission pack to my website for the drivable MTB of the MTB/S-Boot Project. It is for ETO 1.4. Apart from the missions everything is there apart from the latest version of the boat (which definately works in Vista and above) and 0-1 Driver's modified MTB/E-boat pack. Both these are available from my site. The missions are set in the first half of 1940 (ERA1 & 2). They show the wide variety of mission types they performed and their little known role in Operation Dynamo. A quick word on the missions. There aren’t many straight forward combat missions. This reflects the fact that Coastal Forces were a bit of an unknown to the Admiralty who quite frankly had uninspiring views on the job CF ought to be doing. CF in their turn were having to learn the skills and tactics that were to make them a deadly force, they also had very few boats. None had cannon most had a couple of machine guns, even the gunboats were lightly armed compared with the boats that were being used from ‘43 onwards. The models used here are really anachronistic, too late for the missions, but they’re all we have. There are some missions whose objectives are not clear cut combat type, but are a bit tricky for the game engine, so don’t worry if you don’t always get a Mission Completed banner pop up. One are two are tough to survive.

Thanks to the Ol' Sea Dogs for testing them.

So Crash Start Engines and fire the torps! Enjoy.
