Just like to say hello to everyone, as a new member I sure I will have a lot to ask. I've been a MS CFS nutter since they started, just managed to buy a new CFS WWII Europe Series again after selling mine a few years ago, I am also looking to re-purchase CFS 1 & 3 again. I hope they work with vista. If anybody can tell me if they work on vista I would be grateful.

Thanks guys

I have found some problems with CFS2 on my Vista 64-bit laptop. I can't edit .cfg files, and I can't save missions in mission builder, realizing this only after I had worked on completely updating a mission, only to see it go up in flames. :angryfir:

Yes, let's not see attention drawn away from the newbie...but I'd rather have a Labatt, thanks. :focus:

Could I just have a Miller Lite?

Or if not, a Jack Daniels?

Welcome to the Basement. If you have trouble finding a copy of CFS3, let me know....I have a very little used boxed set sitting here collecting dust that I will be willing to part with. I entered the world of MS Combat Flight Sim with 3, hated it for the 3 years that I wasted trying to get it to be something other than a choppy arcade game. Then I got CFS2 and have never looked for a better combat flight sim...simply because there isn't one!

Hi OBIO, thanks for your offer but I have just received CFS2 & 3 today, sadly CFS 3 it doe's not work with vista it won't even load, CFS2 loads and looks good in vista but it does not recognise my ms force feedback stick for some reason :help:

CFS2 doesn't like 64 bit systems. I have no trouble with it on my computer running Windwos Vista Home 32 bit, but a at the office (NOC) it gives me fits. I use the game as a teaching aid. So, since 64 bit OS don't like it i usually pack my personal computer to the classroom and set up.

thanks Cowboy1968, I am on the 32 bit system, the sim runs ok apart from it not recognising the MS force feedback stick, even thinking of going back to XP version of windows

Hi miamieagle, thanks for the info, I looked at the post you suggested and, well I am totally lost with all those address, as I have stated I am getting so frustrated that I am thinking of going back to MS-XP, at least my joystick worked in that version with CFS 2 and CFS ran with no problems, I can't believe that a microsoft program won't run in any of the windows OS.
