I,m on the hunt for a new computer, I got about $1600.00 to spend any recommendations ? I've been down to the local Best Buy, but don't me don't think thats the best way to go for my money. I have never had a custom built before, so I am going to Systek next week to look at my options.
I want top of the line that will run pretty much any Flight SIM I want to the MAX without so much as a bead of sweat, with an eye to the future.

Sorry I have no advice on a computer, but have you check out the the FSX Guide page in the FSX Forum? They have alot of good advice over there on computers, and txnetcop and Harleyman frequent that page and I know they can give you good advice.

I run just about everything with the sliders all the way to the right on a "Jetline" PC. The model is "Solo 900".

I do everything else on a "Custom Model" that I built. It's a bit twitchy tho.:isadizzy:

That is right too. Not sure Harleyman is around but txnetcop builds some screamers too. I can vouch for the sliders full right on mine with excellent frame rates. You might want to check that avenue.

If you wanted to just buy a ready made high powered gaming computer, try the Alienware desktop. Get about 8 to 12 gigs of RAM, dual i7 Quadcores, two sli GC's, Win7 64, and you should have a hot rig. www.alienware.com Feng says his is awesome and chews up games and spits them out. His has auto-heat deployed louvers on the top. Wild looking thing.
