Sikorski JRS-1 and S-43

I received this message from Gavin:

Hi Pepe,
I still haven't had any time to work on getting this model released. At the moment my flight simulator PC is in a box in storage and it will probably be 2 months before it comes back out.

If you want to go ahead and release something then go for it.

thanks
Gavin

So, I'm preparing the packages, one military, another civilian. There are six planes, five American and one Brazilian. I hope you enjoy them.

Sikorski S-43 and JRS-1

It'll be great exploring all of our South Pacific airfields in the old Sikorski. Thanks for you efforts on this one Pepi!

I have some photos somewhere (pre-digital days) of the JRS-1 at the Pima County Air Museum in Flagstaff, Airzona. I'll have to dig 'em out and scan 'em into the computer someday. Even sitting in the sand it had a dignified and classy demeanor about it even though it hadn't flown in years. Few planes achieve that in my mind.

Here she is in the latest satellite from Google Earth.

I forgot to remark at the read me...

...the first take off in a flight needs to be from land. All others can be from water.

Many thanks for these Pepe. The Junkers W34 was used extensively by gold mining companies around Bulolo in New Guinea. With the onset of war the Junkers that were serviceable were requisitioned by the Australian government.
