New downlloads available at Simviation!

Not exactly correct.....

Actually those downloads are only new to Simviation.

Check under Tango Romeo in the CFS2 download section here at SOH & you'll find they have been available here since late July 2008

Also, if the idea of piloting an armed ship in CFS2 "spins yer crank" then also check out the work done by PSULLYKEYS which includes MORE "pilotable" ships (called "shplanes") plus a CFS2 NAVAL sim interface. (Naval Conversion Kit Beta - cfs2_naval.zip)

The work done by these two hardcore CFS2 addicts is TRULY OUTSTANDING.

Thank you for clarifying that Dirtman!

I was not sure. Thats the reason I wrote what I wrote. I also Agree with your last comment.

Yo M.I.

No sweat Bro; being a perfectionist I always do my best to keep the records straight.

I have been very interested in & working with the player ships since discovering VN's "Driveable PT Boat" a few years ago. It really provides a new perspective to CFS2 when yer down on the surface.

I knew Tango was working with PSULLYKEYS on the ship sim. Because of this I made a point of meeting Sully. In the past year we have become very good friends and yak almost daily on Skype. This is how I have the "inside knowledge" about the ships.

Work continues slowly on the ship sim. I'd like to find a way to make the gun barrels move up & down to be able to easily alter the range of the shells. Also make the turrets turn on command. Once this has been accomplished; we could then upscale the shells to the 14" - 18" size for player battleships & thus have sea battles.

For a long time now I've wanted to recreate the great sea battles of WW2 for missions in CFS2. (for example: Gunter Prein's U boat attack on Scapa Flow, the Channel Dash & Battle of Surigao Straits)

Further; I plan to incorporate the ship sim technology into Vietnam-4-CFS2 as I envision air, sea & land combat to make it an all encompassing sim with something for everyone.
