New IRIS aircraft...

Not just doing, but just about to release. Looks to be a good one, it'll be under the Platinum label, so should be on par with the A10.

Still no update on the Eurofighter though :(
 
Andy, EF Typhoon is on the backburners, i'm spending time on it once the F-22 is done... got an F-22 fictional operators pack to finalise then i'll be back on Typhoon, unless IRIS wants my attention elsewhere...
 
Moving away from Military stuff now. Got more than I need or will ever fly. I'm just waiting on the next GA. . .whatever that might be.:salute:
 
So after the F-22, is it looking like...

...the Eurofighter or the PC-21 next? Hopefully the PC-21!

Personally I can't wait for them all, Iris clearly are leading the field with the more modern military trainers and fighters!

Did you ever get that fictional RAF A-10 repaint completed ? It looked a damned fine piece of work and I'd love to have it.
 
I'm not into anything "forces" related in all honesty. Current RW (and all pertaining to it in the slightest) get a thumbs down. Not that I don't appreciate a good model. David and several other modelers do outstanding virtual representations for those interested.

I always hope to see models come into our virtual reality as a dedication to the pilot in representation of aviation history. I feel the simulators really lack this part of our past in a lot of ways.

PC died on me forcing a complete formatting... lost a lot of work when that happened :( including the A-10's sadly, if i track my HD paint kit back down i'll give it a whirl again, as i say making time for it will be the hard thing given current schedule...

since though i have a new external hard drive everything is getting backed up on, most of my fictional schemes are on there and no i'm not going to say what they are :icon_lol:

Good to know it is still in the works, with all the iris announcements it looked like it had been forgotten.

I was doing that too Matt and then one day my External locked up and I lost everything I had been saving to it. Just can't win for losing sometimes, lol:salute:

Oh dear, a bit of a disaster that! Thanks for letting me know, and I hope at some point you can get round to the repaint. If the RAF had adopted the A-10 instead of, say, the AV-8B, what would have been scrapped in the recent defence review ? The Tornado maybe ?

Hmmm up until a few days ago, I could still access the main page for IRIS which had several links for where David can be found these days. . . .Facebook and Twitter. I just tried it again and now I get this:
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /home.php on this server.


Bottom line here is, IRIS is very active on Facebook. . .and tough as it is for me to say, because David is a great guy. . . .his support is really difficult to nail down. Repeated posts in the forums would bring no replies. . .support tickets would go unanswered and even posts in Facebook would take many, many days to get a reply on.


I know he's busy with a lot of projects, but I hope at some point he works up a solid support reply system, cause right now it can really be very frustrating.:salute:
 
If I could venture a guess, Falcon, it is because he is preparing the homepage for the F-22 release; Not as though that addresses the customer service part of things, but it could at least explain the absence of the homepage...
